Online/remote handicap services

Currently not a member of a club the main drawback of which is no HC cert.

Anyone use an online service?

which one?

are they accepted at clubs requiring an HC?

thoughts and observations?

What is to stop you registering then putting in whatever scores you want? I doubt many good clubs would recognise them. A bit like printing your own diplomas in medicine

If you don't want to join a single course why not join a society? You can still play where you like and get a handicap over a few different courses.

if a club accepted any old h/c off the internet there would be bandits off low handicaps playing off 26
