Just looking at my own Club's website, I see we have a 'Notice Board', but not one that members can post on, its just for official Club Notices.

but surely, these could be a great source of info for members too, and
perhaps every Club should have one ?

Suddenly find you can get away for a game when your buddies cant ?
- Post a message that you are looking for a game and leave your tel no.

Got a Driver that you just cant get on with ?
Post a message that it might be for sale.....

I think it would be a great thing to incorporate, and might well lead to a lot more members actually meeting and playing with members that they hadnt met/played with before ?

How many of you have this kind of thing at your Club already, or how many of you would like to see it on your own Club's website ?

:D

Mines just setup a forum.

It's crown-golf so I suspect they all may have them. Looks like it was only setup a few days ago, so nothing posted yet.

On our club's website it has a feature that tells members if the course is open, if a trolley ban is in place or just hedgehogs and any temps.

We have competition results, news, emails regarding course condition and rulings (lift clean and drop/place etc). I have to say from an IT background Its good to see golf clubs finally catching up.
