Is that I have been out on the course for a quick 9 holes on each of the last 4 days at about 6.00 and been the only one on the course. Ambled round enjoying the sunshine just me the course and the wildlife. Absolute heaven. When I hurried I did 9 holes in an hour but most days I just took my time. Loved it.

Only 1 day left of it. Come Tuesday the course will be full of people trying to fit in post work knockout matches.

Nipped down last night for 9holes after Jason Day finished. Empty course. A couple of members tee'd off later after TV coverage was finished. What was disappointing was that the clubhouse was empty. Sunday for The Open - a great day to put on a few 'specials' in the bar or kitchen, get a crowd in...then head out for a couple of holes (if sober) after TV coverage finishes. No such luck though.

Same at my place. Despite the Open being on free to air, you would not have known it was even on. My club is one of those places that appears to shun the idea of having sport, even golf, on in the bar. May disturb the sleep of the longer established members having a kip over their half of best in the main bar.
