One of those days

Ever had one of THOSE days, the one where for some reason your swing is just cack, you cannot get off the tee and your irons just are appauling? I had one today. In fairness I haven't played for the last three comps so I was rusty but chuffing heck I was bad today......makes you think you have never played the game before.

I understand your frustation DB. For me it was two shanks and poor putting. Long game, superb! Short game, what has been my bread and butter for years, shocking!

DB, I had a lesson around 8 weeks ago and was munching everything, the next four weeks were grim, couldn't hit a ball past 50 yards without shanking....... It's golf

Don't think anyone is going to top Saturday. 119!! Not shot anything like this in years!! A five putt on the second!! Flag on back tier. 4 goes to get it up there!! Also carded a 9 on two par 3's!! I'm going to use the hangover and no sleep card but still a painful day!!

Played Friday evening after work and 3 under gross after 10 holes and not hitting anything badly at all.
Cue the Saturday medal and signing for a 17 over par, 9 over nett. Slightly frustrated

started like that today , my driving is pretty strong usually , duck hooks on first 2 accompanied by lip outs on 1, 2 & 3 saw a ,double , bogey, bogey start , thought the birdie on 4 sorted things , the triple on 5 showed otherwise ..
+6 thru 5 .. got home at +8 but maddening day ..

I couldn't hit an iron to save my life on Saturday, driving fine, fairways largely fine, putting fine, irons in between were an abomination, couldn't even hit them off the tee it was awful

Just played in a pro's comp this morning. Ind Stableford, shot 40 points never hit a poor shot and to be fair some fantastic shots. Shots I haven't hit all winter. I know it isn't groundbreaking 40 points but I'll put my card in. I may get .2-4 off and any loss is a good day. I can play golf....Thank God.

Yep today , from the sublime to the ***** , short game completely gone , constantly short sided myself , and then to top everything off I bombed 1 out of bounds on the 15th , fuming

Played my first medal of the year on Saturday and promptly 3 putted 6 times, was not a pretty sight.

Yep. Team event yesterday off the yellows and having hit it well tee to green the day before I was in bullish mood. Tempo way too quick, a playing partner that frankly got right on my wick and a lack of interest after six or seven holes led it to be a long day. Kept polite, kept smiling and being sociable

Glad it was a short visit to hackersville
