Evening Fella's,

Ever have one of those sessions on the range where you look like a complete novice that never swung a club in his life....
Well i had one tonight..... I couldnt hit a half decent shot if my life depended on it.....

Lately iv been Pull hooking the ball and having the odd show of the S***ks....
Would i be right in thinking that these maybe related......

I think that i still have an out to in path but i must be closing the face down too much at impact...Or am i talking complete muddle.
When everything is going well i can hit a nice 6-8 yard draw with my 6 iron to wedges.
But with the longer clubs its either pretty straight or a fade....
But as i said thats when things are going well.....Anyone got any ideas.

If you draw the clubs you mention and cause a fade with the longer irons it may well be that you are not standing far enough away.

Golf is extremely marginal and a distance of a few centimetres can make a difference.

Ash!!

I used to fade and slice everything with deep divots....For the past 6 months now or so its whats happening above and im not sure where to start.....

I guess ill have to sort the swingpath 1st of all anyway.

I was hooking all my irons and hybrid, turns out I was standing too close. (before I hit the ball!) an inch back and everything was going straight. Little tip I picked up is at address lower the shaft onto your right leg, the but should be about an inch above your knee, worked a treat for me.

And yes I've had plenty of those nights!
