I wouldn't say I laughed but I understood all but one. I lost interest (somewhat) in webdesign after watching sites that 'used to work' suddenly have their layout destroyed with each and every browser update. I haven't touched any of my sites for 3+yrs now.

This forum doesn't even display properly in my IE so I have to use safari to view it.... AND it has a code glitch that logs me out if I hit the return button after inserting a smilie

by the paranoid  pretty sure they're not that interested in you as a person

It's probably improved since I last used it

There have been some thoughts about 'kick-starting' my sites and starting to make a living again, but I can't quite make myself do it.... maybe next year.

Even though I've worked in IT for 27 years, I didn't get any of those. Thankfully.

I must not be a nerd. Now back to try to get the double natting citrix flow working across the MPLS and down the VPN tho the client.

Not quite screwed, just not perfect. Much like if you bought an old car you wouldn't expect it to run perfectly all the time, the same is true of IE! Your website is down by the way ;)

Which one did you not understand.. i am sure there FAQ for that.
I never tried the forum on IE, my office was on IE6 (probably the best ever) and recently 'upgraded' to 9 or something. I am now Chrome from work and FF & Safari from home. IE best for office, though home one just updated to 11.

Though i stopped coding many moons ago (easier to send it to India)... I think i can still deceode if you send me the error log. I usd to write protocol level code for PPP, TCP, IP4 etc... Never hit off with the women in those days (or now)

You missed a couple of important ones

Here's a link to a very abbreviated classic http://www.businessballs.com/treeswing.htm

Jerry Weinberg (bet most of you have never heard of him) made a particularly profound, well memorable, statement in his 1971 classic 'The Pschology of Computer Programming' - the Paperless Office is as likely as the paperless toilet!

There's nothing really new in IT!

The tree swing is a classic... Interesting how things haven't changed in all these years..
