Of across to your part of the world in a few weeks staying in Belfast/Dublin for a change of scenery and i'm playing at Knock,Dundalk,Kilcock and St Margarets.

I've played St Margarets a few years back but never played any of the rest has anyone played any of them and whats your thoughts on them. Cheers in advance

If you don't mind me asking how did you pick those courses? Lots of better courses in or around the areas You are playing they are all typical parkland courses.
If i was to pick 4 Ardglass, Concra Woods, Roganstown and Castleknock/Portmarnock Links.
Dundalk was a bit rough around the edges the last time i played it, ok course.
St. Margrets is in good condition and a decent track.
Kilcock it has been years since i played it and can't remember much.

Or Belvoir isn't too far away either and they are offering a two-ball for £65 during the week if you book online.

Its a better course than Knock as well.

Not my choices im afraid ,my mates all work for lighting companies as sales managers and we're meeting there Irish counterparts so free golf bar St Maragarets where we're getting twilight golf for 25 euro so not bad.

I'm not alover of parkland course to be honest when i'm on holiday as i normally go up and play Portstewart,Castlerock,Royal Portrush,Ballyliffin and Ballycastle so a bit of a change haha.

To be honest i'm only going for the black stuff and a trip to the Guinness Store house.

Hi Stevie,

Dundalk is a cracking track, as for St Margarets it is ok but not up to condition of years ago. I would play Portmarknock
if your free about Dublin give me a shout.
The pro in Dundalk is a friend of mine and is a top guy, the food is good as well
enjoy

I concur with the above on Dundalk. Just hope the weather holds because I played in heavy rain and a few of the greens had trouble shifting the water but then it's been bad down there. On saying that the greens were still very firm. Nice track with some interesting holes. Watch out for the 7th. Water bound for any 3rd shot short and right of the green. The 8th also has a blind green with a bottleneck entrance requires a decent and confident carry on your second to avoid the crap that protects it from the front and little room for error right. Couple of blind fairways etc but quiet a forgiving course. Rough is well managed but very lush.

As someone above stated get yourself to Concra Wood. I think 30/35 euro on a Tuesday aswell

You wont be disappointed.

Enjoy your trip and let us know how it goes

Again another good track in the area. Good to play in a buggy because it is long and has some steep slopes. Currently in very good shape. Recently hosted a Europro Tour event and seems to have benefited from it. Food is also very good. I had a rack of ribs for 13 euro. It was massive!
