Im currently on holiday for 2 weeks and am concerned that when i get home i will have lost my touch, only been playing golf since december so this is the first time i would have not swung a club for that amount of time since taking the game up? any advise guys or is it like riding a bike?

you've been playing just about 8 mths and your worried how a 2 week holiday will affect your touch

Welcome to our world....you are now a proper golfer :whoo:

Is this a serious question?

I predict a 14% loss in touch and a 37% drop in confidence.

You'll be rubbish - you'll come back and be playing like a 17 h/capper   [/QUOT

If your trying to insinuate 17 is already rubbish which i think you are i have been playing very well as late playing the front 9 a good few times under par and the back 9 under par to but not in the same round. my official handicap is now 10 i just have not edited my sig

Good going for 8 months. I've been playing 6 years and still off 19.

Im must say i have been playing a lots of golf guys, friend is a teaching pro lots of free lessons and lots of time on practice greens i set a target of at least 1 hours a day. i have been playing well lately

Good going to get to 10 so quickly, you obviously have a natural gift for it so just trust in that. I work away a lot and have had to go weeks at a time without golf. Often the very first round back is quite good, maybe because there is a lack of expectation. Then it is back to being a lottery. Don't worry about it, if you're normal game is one sub-par 9 and the other 10 over then I suggest you devote some time to the mental side of the game. Luckily for you that can be done on holiday. Do you have a kindle? Going Low, Patrick Cohn would be a good start, some great strides can be made in your game from the comfort of your lounger.

I'm off on holiday Friday for 2 weeks, the clubs are coming with me & the wife has said to play as much golf as I like! She is hoping it will keep me entertained as I can hack about 30 minutes of sitting by the pool before I get bored and start to annoy her.
