Head Pro
Not sure if this should be in ask the experts or here, but here it is!
Was at the range yesterday and finally I see some improvement in my driver/wood striking. Actually got some balls airborne, and about 8 or 10 of them went straight enough to classify as a decent shot!
Problem is now I have loosened the head on my hand me down Titleist 5 wood. It is old, says "compression molded" on it. Looks to be epoxy or something, maybe there's persimmon in there somewhere as well. However, having showed my pro the grip logo now at 90 degrees to the clubface after the session he confirmed that the head had become loose. Probably as an inevitable consequence of finally hitting it well with a club that hadn't been used for well over 15 years prior to it finding it's way to me.
The younger pro who I have lessons with started training on metal woods so couldn't help, but recommended I speak to the older gentleman who owns the range who has 30 years more experience. Said it may be as simple as a re-glue, but older clubs have all sorts of pins and potential contraptions to hold the head on apparently.
Pics of the club attached, anyone had similar experience? What can I expect when I speak to the more senior pro, which I'll be doing tomorrow? Is this a sign from above to get myself a shiny new (used) hybrid? This is top of my list on clubs to replace sooner rather than later anyway.
Also the pic of the shaft may not show up very well but it's some sort of code, says "W7151".
