Anyone know anything about old Titleist irons.

I was in our pro shop today and they sell second hand clubs for members, they have a set of Titleist 'Progressive' irons.

The guys have said they have tried to see what they are and how old they are but can find no info.

Anyone heard or seen these before?

Will try to get some pics when next at the club.

The have progressive written on the sole and Titleist on the back. Nothing else written on them the set came with a one wood two that was all silver.

Have to say they looked quite nice and the guy only wanted £30 for for the set.

Are they 735 CMs?

735s are the ones that seem to come up when you search for "Titleist Progressive" so could be. On a side not, whilst looking at one of the links I cam across this review...

"My handicap was 18 when I bought a set of these irons after reading Golfalot's review, and I wasn't disappointed by the purchase. Within 3 rounds of using them I was playing off 13 - and that was in Oct/Nov in strong winds and rain! If the weather settles I'm expecting to get into single figures."

Maybe they should be called Titleist Black Magic irons.

They look similar to the 735 but the Titleist logo on the back takes up nearly the whole cavity, what also struck me was how wide the sole was

The last time I saw something similar to what you are describing were a set of DCI Gold clones - and really bad fakes at that. The DCI Golds arguably had a "progressive offset" in the genuine article - only the fakes had "progressive" offset written on them. Would be good to see pics to confirm any doubts though.
