Oh my word

I once made a 'pre shot list' and took it to the course.

It took 3 shots (into trees, badly out of trees, duff up the fairway!) to realise that sort of thing and I just don't get on!

Wouldn't surprise me if a few people on this forum had one of those specifically for a range session...and the one for the course would probably have the final line:

"if you've hit the ball crap, blame the clubs and go get another set"

This is basically the opposite of my approach to golf.
I once had a playing lesson, just to get a few tips on playing different shots that being at the range can't replicate, and the first question I was asked was what I was picturing on the 1st tee shot. To say I was a blank canvass for the pro to work with was an understatement. My only thoughts were; grab the driver and smack it down the middle.

Oh wow - that is just extra special

That is someone taking the game far too seriously and really needs to have a word with himself

I bet (s)he's a joy to play with

I presume it continues on the back with..

6 and half hours later
- Check score card and sign
- Hope bar is still open

its just the things that should become natural very quickly! :o all the same.

if someone wanted to do that on a quiet evening in the summer on their own I would say not a bad idea. he must be a beginner. having that taped to your bag all year round is just embarrassing.

ive scribbled the odd swing thought onto an old score card and put it on my trolley to remind me to give it a go on the course.
