Off to Pastures New

Today was the day, I have been pondering for too long so I made the decision and went and signed up at a new club. As many on here have said, if you are not happy with your club, vote with your feet so I have.

Do not get me wrong, I will miss Stoke, it was a good course and friendly enough but in the end proved not to be right for me. So, from today I am a fully paid up member at Belton Park. Not only that but they extended my 1 month membership due to the snow, deducted the cost of that from my fees so are not taking any payments until May.


I have been up their a few times now and have met more people than I did at 4 years at Stoke. The course is as good, if not better, it is 2 minutes from my house and the 3 loops of 9 are perfectly suited to a few holes after work.


Only time will tell if I have made the right decision but I am feeling really excited going in to a new season and I think that the challenge of a new course with new playing partners will help me work to bring my handicap down.

So, at the beginning of April I start a new season at a new course and start a new and exciting job. Could not be happier at the moment.

Good move.
3 starting points and loads of places to cut in and switch 9's if your out on your own.
Just keep your eyes on the tee reservations board, it can get quite busy but there's always at least one tee open.
Keep your camera handy, there's always great pics to be had of the deer.
Hope you settle in quickly

Until then, I am putting together a 4 ball to play 18 at my old club and 18 at the new one whilst both memberships are still active. Viscount17 is in, Lump is showing interest and there are attempts to badger Aztecs in to being the fourth

Enjoy the new home. The club certainly seem to be doing everything they can to entice you with the extension and deferring charging until May.
