Off to Japan in January

anyone else been out there?

Yep, about 20 times in the last 15 years. I lived there for 2 years too, and I will be back over there in April next year. Where abouts are you going?

The exchange rate is pretty dire at the moment, worse than when I was there in January, which was already poor. It will make your trip quite expensive, and golf gear will be very expensive.

Come on, if your going to purchase something get something decent not those things, they look like cheap Ram wedges!

Get your eyes around these.....

tokyo, miyazaki, fukouka....touring the in-laws basically

have already floated the idea of playing a round out there, but is met with what can only be described as stony silence

Did a tour with my son 3 years ago, Tokyo, Kyoto, Osaka, Hirosima, and Kyushu(Yufuin)
-Subirashi deshta. I envy you, have a great time.

If dad in-law doesn't play, then it might be a tad difficult. It depends on how easy it is to get to a course, whether clubs are available etc. I've only played there once in all the time I've spent there, and that was on my first trip back in 95. An amazing course in the hills outside Kyoto, the first time I ever experienced travelators on a golf course, over chasms between green and tee.........
