off to a flyer (again) then ballsed it up (again)

last man standing stableford today at the club. 1st 3 holes 3,4,3 for 10 points and hitting the ball sweet as also made 2 very nice par putts

followed by 4 blobs of the highest order of crapness!!

finished with 29 points (not bad considering the weather conditions and the 4 blobs) just gutted about them 4 stupid holes.

Ahhh well theres always next weeks monthly stableford comp

oh and I was home in time to watch DC win so actually I am glad I didnt qualify for the top10 shootout in the afternoon

***apologies for this pointless post btw but I have been replaying the holes in my head since the Open finished and getting annoyed with some severely poor club/shot choices***

Yeah I know the feeling mate. I had a friendly knock today going off the whites and was hitting the ball really well and getting a good flight. Lots of wind all around. I kept missing out on the green by going to far. Should have hit almost every green in regulation but it just bounced off!

I was attacking every pin!

Oh well back to the range!

Do you not think it's odd that a top pro who hits 1,000 balls a week can accept the result when he hits a bad shot but some of us can't? Food for thought.
