As we are now coming in to the Off Season I was wondering how or if everyone will try to improve their golf during the winter?

Had a few lessons last year and just did not get the sort of practice in needed to ingrain the moves. HCap has also gone from 15 to 16.

This year I am going to try and stick with the Leslie King method which in effect gives you 4 swing positions to get in to which hopefully my brain will allow me to digest. I've gone for this as it seems a simple common sense method that I can assess myself at the range.

What is your plan? :D

Getting Lessons

Will be starting from scratch with a new swing as soon as the season is over, well the last open mid October anyway.

My current swing is a bit flat. Pro says I could probably get lower, 7ish, but better to start again.

Wish I had had lessons back when I started almost 5 years ago. There’s a guy playing in Inverness who only started 2 years ago had lessons from the start and is now down to 5 ish I think.

What off season ? I play as much in the winter as the summer. Plenty of roll ups, stablefords, and winter comps to keep me going. Advantage of living in the balmy south of England !!

We don't have winter tees, and only time ever have temporary greens is when there is a frost.

No real off season here either. Comps stop end of November till March but we'll still be playing. Fitness is something I've got to work on. Don't want to but I've got to!!

Working on general fittness, a bit of yoga, lesson a month, round a week and range once or twice a week...

Really want to make a push to become a single figure golfer this year..

Will be moving onto my fourth season this season coming and feel my game is so close lol.. but hopefully with the list above I can make it happen if not at least i know i gave it my best shot..

To keep playing in the monthly comps and to work on the swing change I'm making to try and stop this "lifting" in my downswing. Not going to be easy after 30+ years and there will be a lot of toil and frustration but to get any degree of consistency it's the only way. I want to revisit the short game again before the Spring too as I'm still too erratic.
