I notice that a large dicount chain of stores are selling off Odyssey tri ball putters at £39.99 which seem very cheap, can anyone tell me if it would be a good investment or are they selling them off cheap because no one is buying them?I am a 21 handicapper and use a Rossa mallet putter the one with the 2 red bars on for alignment.

I don't know. Yes it is big, not that heavy, and if you are into mallety styled putters, it is cheap for an Odessey. If you fancy a change, I would say worth a shout.

If you have a Rossa Monza I dont think there is any need to buy the Odyssey. I have the same Rossa and it's a brilliant mallet with a lovely balanced feel, I have bought five putters since the Rossa and my putting hasn't improved, I know i'll end up going back to it this year.
Save your money.

At that price snap one up if your after a new putter.

Yes they are big but boy are they easy to line up and they feel good as well. I played with someone who had one of these last summer (ok in the rain in August) and the bugger holed everything. He won the medal by about 11 shots. He was off 19 and shot 76 scratch, three worse than me. I buffered he chopped his handicap big style.

I had a putt or two and I thought, I actually quite like the feel of this.

Odyssey did so well with the 2 ball they couldn't better it but in an effort to get folks to part with cash their boffins came up with the 3 ball! Why not a 4 ball?

If you're determined to get one like this I reckon getting the white hot 2 ball blade is better than any of the subsequent white hot steel insert, SRT and 3 ball versions.

I just got my new 33" TM Balero yesterday on sale cheap at onlinegolf. It has passed the carpet putting test with flying colours, seem to be able to put a nice roll on it...

...give it time though.
