Our lounge radiator is steaming hot, even if I have it turned down to zero?

The small radiator in the hall has no thermostatic control on that one,so I presumed that was some kind of "control" one that the hall wall mounted thermostat uses to set the overall house level.

But I can't understand why I can't turn the lounge one down at all - it is as if the thermostat on the radiator is broken - is that feasible/ sensible?

Any ideas?

You're right on both counts sev.

If you unscrew the thermostatic head check that the head is moving in/out, it's either a faulty head or the pin on the trv is siezed.
