I was just on the trigger of buying three dozen AD333 from Ebay when I heard a voice say "you could take the wife to the cinema at the weekend for that"… This guilt is new to me, please help me over come and stock up on balls.

Does anyone else get this guilt? How have you over come this? Does it pass with time?

Just remind yourself of the amount she spends on hairdo's, makeup, clothes etc - your golf expenses will pale into insignificance in comparison. I buy chinos on Ebay for £8, other half can't go near the shops without spending at least £200.
Why not buy the z-URS ball, much better than the AD333?

Parmo, lets just say you take the spouse to the flicks and do the whole hotdog, drink and nacho's and they are cold, watery and soggy in that order and the film is, as we say in the west of Scotland ...PISH .... you will be punching yourself in the head for not buying the balls. She will get over the disappointment and hey ..... hire the DVD in 3 months for £3.

The Z-URS are nearly £30 for 12 when I can get 3 boxes of AD333 for £40.

madandra, you are right, even if I sugguest going on saturday she will not want to, I shall order the balls to work and like a fox plant them with the rest of my golf gear in the porch...

I am lucky in some ways as the wife hates shopping but it makes my guilt even harder...

I know the feeling all too well, I frequently find myself on golf websites at work talking myself into a new club etc.

"Wow look how good that offer is! Its only £30! And if I only spend £20 more I get free postage!" ……..

"CRAP!! I just spent £50 and im suppose to be taking the Mrs. out tonight"

Sound familiar???

Ah a fool and his money. Whilst I would never buy a club online preferring to try different makes and models first, I am a sucker for buying clothing (particularly golf shirts) online.

I was a sucker for the plain Callaway shirts last Summer and manage to find them online for £14.99 each (RRP £19.99 in American Golf and my pro shop). Got five in one hit.

Was looking at getting some MyJoy shoes too but worried the fit may not be perfect. Again I like to try first normally (got caught out by Adidas - they seem to come up very small and usually need an extra 1/2 fitting - well I do anyway!)

Have to confess that a Ping belt, some caps and a new set ot waterproofs also found there way mysteriously from the internet to my front door in 2007.

What was I saying about a fool....

lol well least its not just me, there was a fella on golfmagic forum who posted on a thread like this and he didnt know that his wife had become a member and she ripped him apart for the loans on golf and then demanded he buy ladders for her and a wheelbarrow lol was soooo funny to read.
