Does anyone have any with the G30 Black Iridium lenses for golf? If so how do you find them. Thanks

I think I have these. I certainly have Oakley g30's which I bought from clubhouse golf. Frankly they are great, I love them. They take out any harsh sunlight and make light clearer and cleaner. You can also find that the weather could have changed, clouds come in but you won't notice. Somehow the lenses take out the harshness but do not darken your view. I wear them a lot for golf, certainly if there is any sun out there.
The only slight disappointment is that the lenses are a little clear and your eyes can be seen through them. Fine for golf but not quite right for holidays imo. I bought separate lenses for those, my frames allow me to change lenses very easily.
All in all, highly recommended.

G30 are grass specific purple coloured lenses. They have been superseded by Prizm Golf which are much better.
Like all Oakley's they work well if the light conditions are right for the lenses you are wearing.
Incidentally I said I was not sure if mine were black iridium as they are more rose / Orange than black. I think that is how they are though, rather than actually black. I may be wrong, someone will hopefully confirm either way.

Iridium tend to be mirrored. The golf specific ones tend not to be mirrored. I prefer mirrored sunnys. Just a preference.

Slightly off topic (apologies).
But if anyone is looking at buying Oakley's I'd definitely recommend looking at Bloc sunglasses.
I own 2 pair of Oakley's and think they're great,but I purchased a pair of Bloc last year at a fraction of the price and personally I think they're as good.

PS, I went the other way and think the difference is significant. It shows it is worth checking both out though, each to their own.

oakley sunglasses are a funny one. Just for the record i am a massive oakley fan. all my golf wear is pretty much oakley. however, their glasses seem to be low quantity (for the price) until you get into their premium range.
you only have to breathe on their lenses and they scratch, especially the Iridium coated ones . i have 5 pairs of oakley glasses and i always buy after market lenses as they are higher in quality and performance. especially the polarised ones i use for fishing.

ikon lenses. based in America. I've have never been asked to pay the duty. very good lenses. their polarised lenses can be pricey (about £35) but are soooooo much better than oakley's. i can see about 2 foot further down in clear water than my oakley lenses.

Very glad you've posted this as I'm about to replace mine, mine are also scratched to hell. Do the Ikon lenses fit the frames ok? I've read a few reviews of other aftermarket lenses and a common complaint seems to be they are all thinner so move around in the frames a bit.

I've Baught them for my juliets, badman, sqaure jackets and frogskins. they all fit spot on.
