and golf time is limited or non existent thanks to the weather being miserable, I was looking to getting in some reading, I spend to much time on the PC during work hours to be bothered with games and quite frankly the TV is rubbish.

I've got three Andy McNab books to read, will pick up his new one once those two are done, the first novel by Bear Grylls, thought I'd give that a go, a couple of NLP books which may or may not help with the golf next year, couple of cook books to give me some ideas for healthy recipes and of course GM.

What books if any will you be reading? Fact or fiction? Crime, Romance, Sci-Fi, Horror?

Any good books you've read recently, that are not golf related?

I tend to read sports books or travel books.

And i'm in the process of writing a book so i'm re-reading various snippets of old books as research. Just finished a section on the book Barca by Jimmy Burns. A very interesting account of the famous football club. I have since been to the city after reading it the first time so its interesting reading it again having been to Barcelona and the Camp Nou.

Just loaded the Kindle with more Alexander Kent, Douglas Reeman and Lee Childs. However, did notice that some of the prices for ebooks are getting a little steep, e.g. £9.99 for the new John Grisham.

Just about to get my teeth in to "As It Was" The memoirs of Fred Trueman. Should be a great read as he certainly never minced his words!

Went to purchase a couple of books last week and noticed that the prices had started to creep up!

Someone asked me if I was reading a little French drama or Potarchian verse. Instead I'm reading "SS Death Camp go to Monte Casino for the massacre"

I've read some Stephen Ambrose books (Band of Brothers) and have a couple in the house to read, D-Day and Pegasus Bridge.

Black Watch by Tom Renouf is a compelling read. True story of an Edinburgh boy scout at the start of WW2 to a hardened killer by the end.
He was in my dad's company so at last I found out what he did in the war.

Currently reading the third book in the Don Camillo trilogy by Giovanni Gaureschi. Tales of life in a small Italian village in the Po Valley in the years immediately following WWII as seen from the perspective of the village priest - Don Camillo. Might then re-read the Bruce Trilogy by Nigel Tranter.

I would highly recommend Under the Dome by Stephen King. I've just finished it and really enjoyed it, I'm a bit of a King fan though so recommend anything written by him, especially his Dark Tower series.
