Has anyone ever changed a set of irons even though they were hitting them well.....

I see so many post about topics like
"i cant settle with them"
"Im just not confident standing over the ball with them"
"The sole is just too wide"
"There's too much offset thats why im hooking the ball"

"I prefer Forged to cast"

But have you ever changed irons for the sake of it and regretted the decision.

For the record my i10's are going nowhere...

I played a society event yesterday and the 3 guys i played with did nothing but complain about their clubs.

I'll soon be changing for the sake of it... I hit my cast irons pretty well but want to go forged. Have hit my mates forged and have to say like to feel and distance I was getting. I see it as an upgrade rather than changing for changes sake but some will say different...

Let's see........since May 2008 I've had:

Calloway x forged
Nike VR combos
Wilson FG tour
Nike VR full cavity
Mizuno MP60
Mizuno MP62
Nike VRII blades
Mizuno JPX800 pro's

All changed for valid reasons of course.... :o :D

I wanted to change my TP's for the I15 last Christmas but felt I was changing for the sake of it and bit the bullet. However having hit the R11 irons and with rumours of the I20 being just around the corner I have to say the temptation is there.
