I've not played since early October due to a few things but I've not really missed it neither. I used to play at least twice a week but I've started to lose a bit of interest aswell.

I've got a new (2nd hand) driver, 1i and 3i that haven't even hit a ball yet and I've not really got the bug for it.

Has anybody else lost the bug for it?

Played and won last club comp on 20th October, won't play again now til end of Feb in the forum comp thing. I never practice or go to the range so, hopefully I can still play off 6 when I return.

Missed it the first few weeks, but now enjoying more time with family and waiting for my daughter to be born (due yesterday).

Not played for a few weeks mate. Can't really work up the energy for it at the moment as there's too much going on elsewhere. Might nip out for 9 holes this afternoon, but I probably won't...... Boo hiss.....

I am the same, think I have only played a handful of times since July. Was just too busy in the summer and then started full time studying for a degree.

Maybe it will come back but at the minute I don't really miss it that much.

I attempted to play yesterday but with having to tee up on fairways, crap greens and a piriformis injury, I just couldn't bring myself to go round. I think if I was a member of a club with a winter league, I would probably be more inclined but at the moment, I'm kind of enjoying keeping the swing going at the range with a warm brew.

Kind of the way I've been for most of the last decade - other stuff got in the way and I've probably played less than a dozen rounds each year in that time, enjoyed them but didn't feel the need to play more.

Trip to Portugal with the missus and playing four days running in September got my enthusiasm going again and I'm keen as mustard, having lessons, practicing three or four times a week and playing a bit.

I've got a full schedule of opens mapped out for next year - I've no ambition to be brilliant but I'm hitting the ball better at the moment than I ever have.

It helps that I play at a links and every time I've been out recently it's been gorgeous weather for the time of year.

Nothing else in my life has changed, I don't really have time to play golf - but I'll make time for the next year and see where I am then.
