Brought some new clubs on a wim as I thought I would treat myself ,brought the Mizuno JPX850 Forged stiff shaft.
Was fitted by the AG TOUR truck guys.
But been playing twice a weekend now and only now really hit the sweet spot a few times ,and the handicap is going up and up,and to seem to have developed a slight slice :(
Should I go back to my xhots? Which I was playing quite well with,so not sure why I brought the mizuno.

I guess the real answer is persist with them ,but if I am not feeling them ,do I put them in the garage or sell them whilst they are new - ish ?

I'm so scared to change I'm still playing Ping Eye 2's

You need to get to the bottom of what's changed, if anything, in your swing. Not hitting the middle is not a club issue. I guess if you've no confidence in them you've answered your own question.

whats the shafts on your old and new clubs?

Old -standard Reg flex
New- 115 stiff

and there you have it- bet it was based on SS only and not how you 'felt' or was 'feeling' each shaft.

what model shaft for the reg and stiff (TT XP 115 S300 I guess?) as some are tip stiff, some higher kick points etc etc

not sure how this could make him miss hit or slice...

most of us would instinctively change our swing, even slightly, if the clubs were heavier/lighter than we have played with before.

I'm having to do that currently with a very heavy driver shaft I've borrowed just now, otherwise I cant get the ball trajectory higher than my head- leads to lots different shots.

It might not be his issue, I can only comment on the OP not 'feeling' his new irons as stated in the OP

The biggest issue I’ve had over the years with changing irons especially is expecting too much too soon. It very rarely happens and a new set of irons usually takes a bit of getting used to. I would get some impact tape to see where the ball is coming off the club face. Then, If you make a little change you can see tangible results that can be more repeatable and helps with confidence ......always works for me.

I did the same thing a few months ago when I changed clubs. Had been playing with regular graphite shafts in my old Cobra S3's and went back to regular steel in the new i25's (as I had used them before in my old i15's). The Graphite shafts in the Cobras weighed about 65g but the new steel shafts in the Pings weighed 99g.
I had been hitting my Cobra's well, but due to the heavier shafts in the Pings I could no longer feel the head of the club, and started to sway quite a bit, also throwing my right shoulder in to try to get some flex into the shaft. It was a recipe for disaster.
I had no distance at all, having to take at least two clubs more to try to compensate, and just lost all confidence in them.
I had to make a decision, and fast.
I looked at the cost of getting the Ping's re-shafted, which was going to cost a fortune.
So I bit the bullet, sold them, and went back to regular graphite, albeit in a set of new Taylor Made RS1's.
Now getting back on track and hitting my irons much better.
It was a costly mistake, and one that I will not make again.
