Just thought I'd share some good news with ya'll.

Just had an offer on a house accepted. Subject to the usual surveys etc.

Since my father in law died recently, we've been looking around for a larger house with an annex for the mother in law. Last weekend we found a great place, and made an offer.

No doubt I'll be back in grumpy old git mode later on as solicitors start to wind me up. But until then, I'm looking forward to the move next Feb.

So for a short time, I'm actually happy!!

Luckily, I get on very well with her, as do the kids. Anyway with the annexe, she'll be happy doing solitary most of the time. She's quite independant.

Though no more how's your father in the kitchen!

dont worry about the " hows your father " in the kitchen. You now how the fun of increasing your mortgage, increasing teh size of your house, overheads etc, only not to be able to christen the new room that brought you all that extra expense
