Over the last 3 competitions, not much joy for this side of the pond I say.

Accenture - Dubuisson made some interesting shots but havent seen much of him at Cadillac
Honda - Rors was in contention, but missed the eagle putt. Generally his putting has been a let down
Cadillac - J Donaldson was in contention at times, but finally dropped off too.

The leaderboard is getting awash with the Stars and Strips these days. It looks like it may be a tough choice for Paul McGinley. Interesting round awaits at Augusta..

Time for the panic button or too soon?

FAR too soon

The last Ryder Cup where Europe played some of the best golf I've seen to overturn a seemingly impossible deficit, was on the back of some decidedly average form for the Europe squad. Like the FA Cup, you can usually throw the form book out of the window when something with a little bit of kudos is at stake.

Most of the Europeansare only a couple of tournaments into the season, many of the americans have been playing non-stop since October. This time of year always has a lot of American winners, I wouldn't take too much notice just yet.

But shouldn't the US being worried, over the past 3 event on the European Tour they've only had 2 people in the top 10. They must be best be having some sleepless nights!

Way too early to be panicking. The US tour is notoriously hard to break through and I think Donaldson's showing is significant. McIlroy starting to get more consistent and if he can warm the putter up, and he has always been a little streaky in that area, he'll be fine. I would be more concerned about the form of the likes of Rose, Poulter, Westwood, Donald etc but again still early in the season and lets see how they go at Augusta

Poulter doesn't really need to be in top form going into the Ryder cup, pretty confident as soon as it starts he'll find another gear.
Stenson,Garcia,Mcilroy,Dubuisson all look to be playing some decent golf.
Some of the Americans also seem to be struggling at the minute.

Mmm. Would hardly say he dropped off. He was the only other player who could have beaten Reed after his superb birdie on 17 and was a bit unlucky that his bunker shot on 18 did not run out a bit more.

Far too early to panic, in fact nothing to panic about. McGinley has a wealth of talent at his disposal and we will have a great team stepping out at Gleneagles in September.

It's far too early to worry. Just look at the teams as they stand, I'll use USA as an example. Jimmy Walker is in and Tiger isn't, come September I would expect Tiger to have gotten his place, but will Jimmy Walker still be playing the golf he's played up till now? I would seriously doubt it, but he will make the team.
All the big guns will start firing as the majors come around. I think Luke Donald will show a real return to form during the summer, unsure on Westy though, he looks confused at the moment.
