Up until the mid eighties all caddies had to be black, no black members allowed until 1990 and woman only allowed a couple of years ago.
I recon it will take until 2025 before anyone is allowed in with ingrown toe nails, athletes feet or verrucas.

Duncan is a genuine guy and not trying to get one over the Masters committee. He caddies in sandals all year round regardless of weather conditions. You may remember the Open at St Georges in 2011 when the weather was pretty poor most of the week, he was caddying for Tom Lewis who was leading amateur that year and had sandals on all week, the BBC showed him wearing them.

do TM not make sandals,i was going to book a fitting this week when i tried the never slice socks ( fully adjustable from 9.5 to 11 ) the white ones no longer available for some reason.

Just wanted to post about Matt Fitzpatrick's first round - a +4 after doubling he first, excellent play - good enough to match some very big names. Shows great skill and a strong mind. This lad will win majors...

Faldo doubled the first TWO holes in an Open, and finished -3.........that's the standard needed to win Majors not doubling the first then hanging on and being +2 for the next 17. That Lad wont win majors.....

He is still very young and an amateur bit early to be claiming either way if he will or won't win a major

Jack Nicklaus counts his US Amateur wins as majors so by that measure he's already won one, I'm not going to argue with Jack.
