The chippy takeaway on the roundabout in town has a sit down restaurant bit on the side.
Late leaving town the other evening had a simple cod & chips twice and a cup of tea.

Not much cod in these parts, have to make to with kingklip n' chips as the cheaper option or dorado as nearest cod equivalent I guess. Not much cheaper though £4-£6pp (but that's restaurant rather than takeaway)

Just as well HID only has one birthday a year
Large Haddock Supper up here is about £6.50, but you get two large bits of fish, too much for one imo.

We've got 4 chippies in Oban, and they all charge about £6 for haddock and chips - decent size too.
We've also got the well known Seafood shack on the pier which does fresh lobster, langoustines, oysters etc pretty cheap (well a lot cheaper than the restaurants!).
Is anything cheap these days, Lidl aside?

Took the mother to a 'sit in' chippy a few weeks back. Was rather shocked when I was handed a bill for £26 for exactly the same. They where charging nearly £5 extra per meal to eat in the restaurant.
