So Not played since April reason a Bad back

had to cancel some games because of it (SB) :(

been going to chiropractor for a while now to sort it & was given the go ahead to play & tbh first time ive felt upto trying to play

not swung a club from april up til practice swing on the 1st tee
played The West Berks (course was in great condition)

started with losener drive (straight) ,3 wood & sw to 10 feet & rolled the putt in for birdie couldnt have asked for a better start

dont know my final score probably 82-3 ish

as sky caddie turned off half way round & lost score (and it tried to resume a full round) & my friend left card in car as we walked to pub after for a drink & tbh it didnt much bother me i was just there to enjoy myself &see if i could play

didnt lose a ball (in fact found 4 pro v1s to boost my practice bag numbers) :)

was very happy to just be able to play,& without the back troubling me much,I didnt even mind an absolute pearler of shank, 1st shank on course in years :o

hopefully be able to get my 4th rnd of the year in next friday

Might try & play it serious rather than just for fun to see how i do if im concentrating & fully trying

depends on who im playing with

but like i said Just happy to be back playing

Nice going - its great to be out on the course any time and particularly when returning from an enforced break like you have. Even better when you hit some nice ones along the way.

We do sometimes forget that the game is meant to be about enjoyment and sometimes it takes a post like this to remind us.

Welcome back.

I know just how you feel. I had an enforced lay off due to duff discs in my neck. Turned out to be 12 months. Its really great to get back on the course. Well done and good luck, may the problem never return.
