Anyone on here of a certain age ever frequent The old Wigan Casino or The Flaming Torch in Stoke on Trent?
I'm a bit young myself, but I wish I'd been around in that era to have visited these iconic venues.

Went to both the Casino and the Mecca at Blackpool also meet the wife at the casino 30 odd years ago, you don’t get that long for murder

Got a mate of mine who is big into his Northern soul and has a huge collection of records (including some rare cuts). As he's a local lad (Macclesfield) he was always up the Wigan Pier.

By the way a lot of people who use to go to the casino go to the monaco in Hindley the first saturday of every month for Norhtern soul its one of the few places that still as a wooden dance floor

Been to a few NS nights, my mate is a life long follower and I love some of the music, I myself am more of a 60's Mod with the faces and the likes.

I've only recently started to really get into it. there's a great documentary about it on Youtube.
It just seemed like a great scene to be a part of in the late 60s/ealy 70s.
Oh, and the music's great too.
Was this form of dancing the forerunner of breakdancing?
