North Korea..........

Well if we do end up with a full blown nuclear WW3, I think I'll find the closest strategic target and listen to R.E.M while waiting to be turned to dust.

Surely they can't actually b that/mad/stupid/both to think they could stand a hope in hell against the Americans? One american nuclear sub (of which I have no doubt there is one just hanging around off NK waiting) could wipe the entire country off the face of the Earth, and the yanks would easily be able to take out any Korean missiles long before they got near the coast...

If it is going to go off, its probably better sooner than later. Once they have an icbm, it will be too late.

Were still out of range, however, some parts of the USA aren't!

I'm sorry but I don't know what NK expect, they disregard everything and everyone so if they carry on pushing countries buttons, well someone else will push theirs!

It's the reactionary fallout that would be the major concern, in that, how China will/would feel about an aggressive strike by America on NK if they (USA) feel it's the only way to stop the constant missile tests and nuclear programmes as they can't be trusted with them!

I don't think this is all down to Trump though, this has been brewing for years and NK have been advancing these missiles further against all sanctions and previous threats, it's just the timing has fallen on Trumps watch and it needs sorting, maybe it should have been sorted well before it got to this stage, but previous leaders were over cautious but it needs addressing or NK will start something to catastrophic circumstances, so before the rabid dog escapes, doctor and kill it first!!

My concern would be Kim Jong-un doing something pre-emptive - maybe against SK. With KJ-u thinking that Stupid might attack North Korea if he needed another diversionary action so he gets his attack in first.

You really do wonder where China stand in all this, apart from laughing themselves silly. They economically prop up the regime as a buffer zone to the west, but even they must see that it is now getting out of hand.

Good. About time we sorted the black sheep. They are only going to become more a threat the longer we leave it.

So who is going to sort out NK? Can't have the USA interfering over there. What's it got to do with them. Or do we want the USA to do the dirty work for the 'free world'.

Well the UN should be involved but's it just a talking shop that is pretty ineffective doing anything militarily, so yes US will need to lead at some point and Trump will act if needs be, we know that.
Surely some kind of stealth 'dictator removal' option via a drone strike would be a better step than wide scale bombing which always has collateral damage where the oppressed poor people there get the worst of it, people who probably just yearn for some kind of free life like those in South Korea.

I think it's got quite a bit to do with them. You may remember a war there in the 1950's that was never resolved and the USA were South Korea's main Allie and remain a presence there. NK are currently threatening to increase their range of ballistic missiles to reach the USA and with nuclear weapons. The USA have just had a meeting with China over the nuclear proliferation of NK and asked them to put pressure on NK to stand back from escalating the situation. Yes, it has a great deal to do with the USA.

My question was rather rhetorical - so yes - USA has a history in the region. Would that stop anti-war movements protesting if the USA felt it had to go into NK for self-defence and SK/Japan defence purposes. Have the US a responsibility to the rest of the world to go in and sort things out - or to preempt something daft or grim that Kim Jong-un might try?

If their own country is at threat then Yes, they do have a reason to go in.
