north east golf

I'm working up in newcastle for the next few months and read with interest the guide to newcastle in this
months mag, but was wondering can any north east locals on here recommend any other decent courses
in the area. Thanks

Haven't played many courses in Newcastle but Northumberland golf course worth a game at then
North of it worth a shout is
Goswick
Alnmouth
Dunstanburgh
Slaley hall (weather permitting)

South of it

Wearside
Chester le street
Brancepeth
Durham city

To be honest non of the courses in the mag are actually in Newcastle and they weren't really the best selection either.

Courses I'd try in the north east are:
Bedlingtonshire
Northumberland
Alnmouth
Slayley
Goswick
Whitley Bay

Have played Ramside Hall, south of Newcastle just off A1, and thought it was pretty good.

We played Cleveland GC at the weekend and it's a fantastic links course, would highly recomment that.
