Earlier this year Tash and pals went up to Northumberland for five days golfing. Meeting up with forum legends like man in black and Bezeerk along the way. It was a fantastic five days.
Next year, we are off to Norfolk staying in "Sunny Hunny" Hunstanton In a pals static.
Which the a begs the question where do we play, any advice on courses greatly appreciated. Do any courses do coastal classic deals like they did in Northumberland, or any similar deals.
Any advice greatly appreciated

beat me to it fundy

Hunstanton only allows fourball strokeplay on tuesdays, Sheringham and Royal Cromer are about 45min-1 hour away but worth the drive out,

Kings Lynn, Middleton Hall, Royal Norwich are all decent tracks that offer a good test of golf.

Hunstanton, Royal West Norfolk (Brancaster), Sheringham, Cromer all decent seaside courses :) If you want inland then Kings Lynn or Thetford

As a man who lives in the county...this is the best answer. Apart from these 6, the others in the county are a bit rubbish!

As honest as an assesment as I am likely to read in a good while 😁.

Ave had a quick look on a golf site and those are the ones that are recommended, but it is always good to talk to someone who has played them, cheers boys.

congrats, cant say I agree with it but all about opinions :)

Depends when you last visited - the improved condition of the course over the last 2 years has been immeasurable , greens better than Woburns this year ( coming from Woburn members ) , fairways becoming like carpets , bunkers being rebuilt with more work in the pipeline. The turn around with the Pro being the Golf Director and new Greenkeeper is just unreal and it will get better with new ideas and new equipment arriving soon. Couple of greens being rebuilt and all bunkers getting new sand and some being changed. Come and have a game

will happily come and have a game but ultimately the layout wont have changed much, appreciate condition is much improved (hear as much from everyone who plays there that its in great nick) but layout just not that of a top 50 course for me

I'm local Tash, know these places well... depends on how far your budget goes. Hunny is great but two's and occasional threes only. Not cheap until winter either. Cromer is reasonable value as is Sheringham (stunning courses and all playing great this year) and will really test your golf. Brancaster is awesome but pricey - PM me if that's desirable though as I've a friend there...

Inland and you'd do well at the others already mentioned but also include Bawburgh, Eaton, Weston Park and Sprowston as decent bang for your buck.

where do you play chucker?

is the correct answer. However I would add Swaffham.

Bawburgh mentioned i played two weeks ago, for me it is still suffering from the Norfolk show quite a lot of gur around the course where it was used as a car park

Cheers spear - chucker me man. When we went to Northumberland there were four of us. Next year there will be five of us. So where ever we play it looks like being a 3 and 2 ball. We were spoiled this year coz the day at Tyneside go was £15 cheers MIB. The golf coastal classic was £140 for three courses and £300 for the bungalow/ accommodation. So all in all it was a cheap golfing week. I have mentioned to the boys that our oop north trip was a one off when it came to total cost of. Will talk to the boys re courses we will play, but being parkland players they are usually our favourite. Goswick did nothing to wet our appetite for links. But you cannot go to the coast and not play links. Brancaster does look gorgeous. Having had a quick look. Brancaster, Hunstanton, Sheringham and Kings Lynn look faves at the mo.
