Money List Winner
Played in the open at Newbattle today and had a great round. Golf just seemed easy today.
I was driving it long and straight (only missed two fairways - both narrowly - and one of those was the longest drive hole so I was whacking it). Iron play was solid - straight at the target although distance control slightly off. Holed a load of good putts.
Shot 76 net 69 (par 72) to win both the scratch and handicap trophies!
10 pars, 6 bogies, 2 birdies and no sixes on the card - nice.
Only dampener is that with 4 temporary greens in play its a non-counter. (I dropped 3 of my shots on these holes
) Looking at the other other scores the CSS would almost certainly have gone up by a couple of shots so I'd have been comfortably down to 6.
Just need to recapture this vibe in Sunday's medal!
Question for handicap experts. Should I report this score to my club, even though it's non-counting?
