I would be interested to know what your course does when members/visitors book a tee time and then don't show up?

This was discussed only last week. It seems some clubs think it is a hanging offence lol. Guess they think golf is more important than life. Heard of one club who banned a member for 3 comps because, his mother had been rushed into hospital that day. He had the temerity to go to the hospital and not cancel his tee time 24 hours in advance!!!!!!

There has to be a universal punishment implemented over all clubs...

I used to manage a busy course and there was an automatic £10 de-fault fee for a no show. Three no shows lost you your booking rights for the year.
This kept everyone on thier toes and a phone call saved £10 and generally allowed other golfers a game.
Most thought the system fair.

You could usually sort out the truth from the lies and excuses.
It was liberally managed.
