i quite like a golfing summer short. Tailored not cargo. Obviously!!!

But no more..... After playing last night I found a tick in my leg today:o

He was already dead. I reckon he must have had too much of the good stuff!!

I dug him out, he was only a baby, unlike his dad I had a near miss with last year. I'd have needed a transfusion after that big boy had finished.

No more shorts for me, especially as one of our members got lymes disease last year.

Im a confirmed shots wearer, but that has to be tempered with caution at some courses. for instance Nairn, Royal Dornoch are fine as is moray and fortrose. everywhere else stay out the rough. Esp BOG, Grantown and Spey Valley. Bonner Bridge is the worse place, the place is literally crawling with them with the amount of Deer on the course.

I would do normally, but it was foursomes.

So as normal its always someone else's fault

You saying you never put your partner in any rough :mmm:

I'm not surprised it died on contact, just buy some decent repellent to spray on those things you call legs :smirk:

Only miss a fairway when I triple, double cross myself, trying to hit a low, cutty draw, that won't listen :o

And even then only on the 'pro' side

I've got natural repellant... Or so I'm told !!

Charming, I almost died and all you can do is mock:o!!

Anyway that's not what you said in the showers at RSG. You were very complimentary then:(

What I actually said was " thanks, reminded me I've got chicken for dinner tonight"

Grown men in shorts on a golf course is a disgusting sight and should be summarily banned. I'd rather see Denims before these spindly white spotty knobbly efforts they try to pass off as legs are displayed to the golf course......but nowhere else. Keep it for the privacy of your own house and dont embarrass yourself anymore in public.

Totally agree. Never worn them in over 40 years of playing, and not died of heat stroke yet.

No more shorts for me thanks. As for embarrassing myself, I didn't and haven't cheers:thup:

But thanks for your overfamiliar input

Man up pills required. Don't skip leg day and there isn't an issue with knobbly knees. I'm not going to say don't hit in the rough as we all do. Luckily I'm mixed so I don't suffer with non tanned milk bottle esque legs. Shorts are always a must for my summer time golf days. Ticks, adders etc are in the woods and fields, whether you're playing golf or not.
