No Majors for TW this year....what a refreshing change eh ??

I was soooooo glad TW lost, simple as that. Once again, he showed himself to be petulant, disrespectful, and a complete & utter nob imo, quite why anyone puts up with him is beyond me.

T'was so good to see Yang step up to the mark and beat him one on one, which he did comprehensively, and that shot to the last was simply stunning, and a fabulous way to beat him.

Yes, I know he's good, yes I know he's won the last 2 events, yes i know he's well on the way to perhaps catching Jack's record, yes I know he plays some awesome shots, but until he starts conducting himself a bit more gratiously, and starts showing some humility and engaging with the (quite frankly stupid) number of people that worship the ground he walks upon, ...he'll stay a nob in my book.

The last 4nts of Golf coverage have simply been another 4 episodes of the 'Tiger Woods' appreciation show, and its getting a smidge wearing to say the least.
The 16th last night was a classic example, .......TW hits a 3 wood to a 'Perfect Position', and no similar comment about Yang's shot, which was equally as good, - what the hell is that all about ??

I make no bones about it......... I dislike him intensely....can you tell ??

Give it time,not all of us like Tiger in any way,yes we appreciate his ability,and in all fairness he will probably be remembered as the best of all time,but i cant stand his fits,and sulks,tantrums club throwing,swearing etc.

I worked as a marshall at the open this year and was un-lucky enough to see Erkle close up,to call him a complete and utter ***** would be being polite.

All the coverage is not Tigers fault, I for one dont like his behavior sometimes, but the coverage is not down to him, its down to those he has influenced, those hes made money for (and still will) and to some degree his own behavior which is constantly covered in this massive marketing and media world.

I do agree with the point about Tigers great shots always getting a mention where others dont, and I dont like that.
His popularity could suffer in the hands of media as much as his own, but it could also benefit him even more. His golf skill however, is superb, maybe if he changed attitude his golf might get better, who knows?

Can he be beaten?.............Yep!

MattysDad: I didnt watch much of the 4 days to be honest, I cant stand the US coverage or the US crowds if I am honest. Total eejits, and the constant 'get in da Hooooole' is simply too grating to put up with.

European Tour events, which are far more educated and appreciative affairs, are far better to watch, perhaps doubly so because most of them dont have TW in the field.

HJN: I agree, if TW lightened up, his golf could very possibly elevate to new heights, and if that was the case, and he changed his manner on the course, I'd be first in the queue to watch & appreciate him.
As it is, I cant stand watching him.

He is an arrogant t**t of the first class and I am glad Yang has beaten him TWICE this season. Lots of others missed putts, but simply looked quizzically at the line, holed out, and moved away.
All we get from TW is a 'Goddamn it', a face like a slapped arse, and that 'how dare it miss - doesnt it know who I am ?? ' look after every missed putt.
