Hi Folks,
I've just got a bit of a bargain on eBay - a spanking new Nike VRS STR8 Fit Driver for £40. I've never hit one, just went on a bit of a bargain hunt for a stiff shafted driver and found this.

Point of my post - has anyone used/owned this driver?? If so what can I expect.

Thanks

Never had one but great price, hope it's original and not a fake for that price

I use one! Mines an 11.5 degree but very good driver! Best I've had only issue with mine is the loft is getting too much for me. Also Russell Henley beat Mcilroy is still gaming one of these. So if it's good enough for him and all that!

Hit one a while back, it was very good. I actually got better numbers from it than the g20 I ended up buying. But I wanted the ping...
It is known on golfwrx as a bit of a low spin, super long sleeper club.

I had one before I got the Titleist driver I have now.
I loved it. Great feeling off the face, easy to change settings and very nice to swing. I would still be using it now if I hadn't split the seld between the face and body of the driver head. Nike took the club back and gave me a £100 credit even though I hadn't owned it from new and had no proof of purchase.
Got a deal I couldn't resist on the Titleist or I would have got another Nike driver without a doubt.
Now I want to try out a set of the VRS combo irons.

I've just bought one of Hallsy on here looking forward to trying it out!! YouTube videos are positive on it!
Soon to be winging its way to you . I do have a soft spot for this driver as it gave me the confidence to hit it. The drivers i had before i couldnt get on with and the VRS was the first i took to. The only reason ive sold it is as ive got more confident with the driver i need a stiffer shaft and although i tried the Covert i couldnt get on with it. Good luck with it im sur youll enjoy it

I've got the VRS limited edition with a rather fancy fubuki x-stiff shaft in it. It is without doubt, the lowest spinning driver I've ever hit and has a gorgeous feel off the face.

Also snagged it off ebay as something to try out but it's absolutely brilliant (at the moment).

Moving to Nike Pro Combo's was the best club switch I have ever made (In my 2.5 short years of playing), I am hitting them so much better than my Burner 2.0's And I was worried at first as I believed I wasn't good enough for them but I was wrong, they do offer forgiveness and the feel is superb.

DO IT

.

how did you go about contacting them about this? I have a vrs 4 wood and the face has split on that too.

I took it to my nearest Nike dealer and he had it picked up by their rep. Took about 2 weeks to get an answer as it has to be sent from the rep back to Nike for then to check it's not through abuse and just normal play.

I was playing a VRS last year with a low launch / low spin aftermarket shaft.

Launch was low/mid and low spin without a doubt, and I hit some ginormous drives (for me) with it during the summer months with decent carry combined with obscene roll. Had a great feel to it too.

Enjoy!

Just recently bought one to try out but its now on ebay. I can't quite put my finger on it but I still prefer my G15.

Just took delivery of this today. Possibly the easiest club I've ever hit literally putting no effort in and it was flying off the clubface I'm only a 21 hcp re and this is the first driver I've owned deity trying plenty and must say I'm pretty impressed !!
