Nick Robinson

What specific criticisms do you have DfT?

An interviewer should talk 10% the interviewee 90%.
He is rude, arrogant, bullying and does not listen to the answers he gets.
John Sargent managed to get the killer question in whilst being relatively pleasant.
Robinson thinks that being rude and aggressive it will make the interviewee lose their temper.
From what I've seem most look on him with amazement and try not to laugh.

Probably forever if you insist on trawling youtube for 3 year old clips.

Hey welcome back FD. You'll be glad to know there's been hardly any casual or even overt misogyny going on recently that I've seen, so I think you should be fine. I know you're thinking 'give it time' but hang on in there, it's a new world out there as everyone has gone metrosexual.;)

Well it's not the worst I've heard by an interviewer by a long chalk.

As for not listening to the answers, did he actually get any? Apparently Ed's passionate about making the country a better place, he won't stop fighting for it and he believes he can win the election, and I know this is true because he told me each of these a number of times.

But in nearly 6 minutes, he never told us WHAT he was going to do for us, or HOW he was going to do it, to my mind fairly important details if he wants my vote.

A masterclass in political obfuscation, yet the interviewer, rather than the interviewee, gets panned. An interesting point of view.

I thought he was embarrassingly bad during last days of the Scottish independence campaign. If I was an undecided Scotsman he'd have pushed me towards a Yes vote.

I think the BBC should dispense with his services, unless they're planning to do a remake of Sgt. Bilko.
