Astonishing interview with a health care specialist.
I find this hard to believe...no NHS in England since 2012.
One of the reasons why English votes for English laws will not work fairly at Westminster.
Note the words 'English Government'.

Perhaps the guys on here who work and have knowledge of the English NHS can shine some light on this.

Some of Wings stuff is quite good but this one is full of spin, omissions and, dare I say, lies.

Scotland gets a portion of income tax now, and the drop in Barnett money is supposed to be balanced out by the portion of income tax being retained. Needless to say, that's not how the SNP spin it, nor is it how the nationalist press portray it. Lies, lies and lies to help push the nationalist line, and the nationalists lap it up because they want to.

As for a funding drop to the NHS in England; the Tories have paid £1.5 billion more than was in labour's manifesto. Admittedly not enough, especially in the Primary Care Areas. However, a portion of that money is paid to private companies for the delivery of services to the NHS - dirty Tories!!

But wait, outsourced services was first started by Labour in the mid 90's. PFI payments started in the 90's, plus the outsourced services started under Labour still amount to more than the payments going out under Tory started schemes.

How the NHS is funded going forward, and the acceleration of outsourcing, is a tough one. Someone is going to have to make tough choices and, sadly, the NHS will continue to fail until the bullet is bitten.

It's being sold off to American healthcare companies in exchange for whatever post-brexit crumbs Donald Trump is going to toss us. Do keep up! :whistle:

Been happening for years Karen. Under Labour, specialist surgical units, even on the first NHS hospital at Trafford, were built and run by foreign companies. A number of kidney dialysis units are Canadian. The NHS hasn't existed in its true form for over 20 years...
