When we last played there it was I believe 370ish the first. I hit driver 3 wood and then a knock down 5 iron to get front edge. Felt a bit better when we heard that in the big amateur tournament theyd had the previous few days only a handful of them had got to the green in 2 on either day.

Wait and see which way the winds blowing lol

Went out to watch in the afternoon - Grant Forrest was three down when we joined them and it quickly got worse for him - he was seven down after the 23rd hole - but then started to play really well and managed to take the match to the 34th before Romain Langasque tied up the win.

There were some fine shots hit by both players and a good crowd out to watch on a lovely sunny day with only a slight breeze.

On thing that was notable was the speed with which Langasque played - much faster than most club golfers and light years quicker than any of the pros.

Enjoyable afternoon - can't beat watching decent golf on a great course with free admission
