Group of four of us thinking of playing Newbury and Crookham for our first get together of the year. Any thoughts or experiences on or of the place? It's the golf that matters.

I played it a few weeks back, it was soaking. Greens were so sodden I'm suprised they let us on them ! We all said how nice the course would be in summer and agreed to come back and play it again.

Decent course, uninspiring clubhouse but everybody at the club was very friendly towards us. Oh and they provided a very decent breakfast.

Wait until summer I say.

Yes - it does look nice - but we are planning to play there a couple of weeks today so I'm guessing it'll still be a bit damp?

This is where I have just joined! Chat to you about it next week ;)

We enjoyed it - bit damp in a few places. Greens looked to have been hollow-tinned and dressed - but still putted pretty consistently well. Nice friendly welcome in the pro shop and club house. All good - and absolutely splendid value with my County Card!
