Hi, I am new here and in fact I am new to the game!.

I have been practice on the range for few months and absolutely addicted to golf (already!)

I thought I better introduce myself as I may have plenty of questions for you guys/girls in very near future :D

Welcome to the forum.

Have you played a round yet? When I started I just went to the range for ages and it really held my development back. When I finally got onto the course I was over analysing everything and really nervous.

Wow so many lovely welcomes, thank you.

I have start hitting (rather than swinging) since Febuary this year. I am from Thailand and now run a Thai-pub in Thursford, Norfolk.

The reason I starting because my uncle (who is more like a father to me) felt very ill last year and my mission is to be able to gave him a good game of golf by my next Thailand visit in January. (He love playing golf very much)

I haven't got a round of golf under my belt yet but have go to the range, hitting at least 150 balls everyday trying, wishing and hoping the damm white ball would fly off to target in straight line!

thx again peeps for a great welcome.

Welcome OB1.

Great username.

Do your clubs make the lightsabre sound when you're swinging?

How cool would that be? ;)

"If you strike this Titleist it will become more powerful than you can possibly imagine" :)

Enough now.

Hi mate.
If you're just starting out in the game could I sugest you go for a block of lessons, one to one with a pro or perhaps group lessons which often works out much cheaper.
That way you'll be put on the right track and have your mistakes explained and sorted rather than just thrashing away and not knowing if you're playing all wrong in the first place.

Just my thoughts.

Welcome to the forum by the way.

That signature looks very familiar to me! :D

How long have you been here? Your a newb1 with 39 posts!

Welcome although I do share Tony's concern. How does a newbie get 30+ posts? Another one of those trojan horses from another site trying to see how long they can remain unrecognised

Anyway enjoy your time here and get involved an look forward to maybe getting a game at a forum meet.
