Hi,

Just signed up and guessed the best thing was to say hi from a newb in all senses.

Been playing for a few months and now starting to really enjoy it, started late (mid fourties) and currently playing once a week with monthly lessons but with the longer nights am looking forward to a few evening games.

Am based in Epsom Surrey and play locally but happily have lots of choice nearby and am looking forward to learning the game and playing some nice courses and also getting to know new people.

Pleased to meet you all, I`m sure to be pestering for tips and advise in due course (pun) :)

Cheers
Tony

Welcome along Tony.. Plenty on here from your neck of the woods.. I'd recommend sticking with the lessons and getting along to a forum meet so you can put a few faces to names.. Always nice to see that although a lot of people talk like scratch players, they actually play like rabbits :D

Welcome to the madhouse Tony.

There are loads of forum meets in your neck of the woods which are great fun. Ask any question and you'll get answers from each end of the spectrum!

Heyup Tony and welcome, started late mid forties, nah your a young pup on here. Ask away if there is owt you need to know. This forum is packed with the top 5 % of Mensa members.

Hi Tony

Are you a member at Epsom. My mate was there for a couple of years until last year. Played it a few times and it's still as quirky and fun as I remembered. Those greens are lightening and unforgiving.

I haven`t had a look at Epsom yet, have mainly been playing at Horton to find my feet before venturing out, it`s not a bad course 18 seems like a bit of a slog to me, maybe a bit parallel and uninspiring but I do like the front 9 and academy to work on the short game.

As said, luckily Surrey is full of courses and loads to choose from :)
