I've been twice, and loved it. Going again next year, but have never taken my sticks. Too much else to do. I always take a bike instead.

there are sheep there???? well i never am gonna be in for a fun filled trip! :D

LOL. Am not taking the sticks (hiring some)just fancy a few rounds when am out there :)

No idea where you are based but I played at Rangateiki GC which is near Palmerston North on the South Island.

Nothing great although there are some really lovely holes. But it's (very!!!) cheap, you can borrow clubs and wear basically what you want. We were on a football tour and they let us wear casual shorts and share clubs, we were the only ones on the course.

Oh, and it's got an honesty bar for when you finish!!!

I have friends on the South Island who run cycling tours, so I go where they go. Have been most places in the south, but not done so much in the north, apart from Coromandel. Haven't been to Rotorua, way too touristy.

There is a course in Queenstown which looks nice. Clinton played there when he was someone.

Hi

Very jealous of your trip. Been to NZ twice but only played golf their once during the last trip (although did take a pleasure flight over Kidnappers which looked awesome).

I played at the Millbrook resort which is just outside Arrowtown (near Queenstown). Excellent course and hotel/clubhouse etc were spot on. Scenery from the course was breathtaking. All club hire, shoes, cart etc easily arranged and they even threw a few free balls. All in for club, cart and shoe hire and the round itself it was about £75 (2008 pricing).

Have fun!
