With the year nearly up just wondering how many people have managed to do the one they set last year and what have you got planned for the year ahead?

last year I set 2, the first one was to quit smoking and the other was to spend more time playing and practising golf. Work screwed up the playing golf more, but I am now currently over 4 weeks clean from smelly old cigarettes.

so how have you got on then?

off the cigs again, managed 4 months then relented. been 6 weeks now though and feeling strong ;)

also stopped with impulse ebay purchases of golf clubs. Mostly thanks to GM for the TM fitting. Shame I have transferred it to fishing gear haha

Play more golf , work less and enjoy life more , as for smoking , gave that up in 1979 , just pure will power ........................EYL

Managed to quit smoking coming up to 4 years ago now. All thanks to this book...

Seriously if anyone is looking to quit for your resolution then don't hesitate to give it a go.

This year I'm going to be looking to join a club and get a handicap after the last one I had was over 10 years ago!

I am now over 3 months off the cigs. Been using an e-cig and it's been a breeze! Tried everything before with no luck, prescription meds, hypnosis, Allan Carr book and seminar, patches, gum, mints, sprays the lot. Nothing has worked except the e-cig.

No resolutions for me, want to play more golf, but with child #4 due in May I'm not holding out much hope!!

p.s best way to stop smoking for ever, stop smoking with no aids or support

4?! Pah, a breeze... try 6...

Next year; get on top of work before it gets on top of me. I work from home, with the occasional run to the office, or to see some engineers of customers. January sees me at home for 2 nights!! And I'm already filling the diary for February.

you need 2 tellies, especially for the 2 days in January:eek:

This year I have to start getting fit. I need to lose at least 2 stone, said that last year and did sweet FA about it.

I like the local curry house way too much.

Few pounds to lose again here (though thats going to have to wait until the ankles fixed). As for the Curry house, yep Im heading there inside the hour :D

No resolutions as such, just a few lifestyles changes (that ive slowly been making over a few years that need to be continued with)

I'm going to lose a few extra pounds, I don't have a bad lifestyle but what with all the nice things at Christmas I want to be able to do my trousers up without too much effort. Going to " fast" one day a week for a couple of months and see how it goes. Oh! And instead of going to the range to practice I'm going to visit a couple of 9 hole courses near me and do " real " shots and learn from mistakes.

mine was to get my financial's in a position to buy my first house, and I started house hunting, got my mortgage in principle about a month ago

Another one for the weight loss. Ideally I'd like to lose 2 stone so operation Lean,Mean, Golfing Machine starts when I go back to work on the 3rd.
