We're having chilli beef and a bottle or two of wine and a film (yet to be decided upon, maybe A Few Good Men)

Bit of bubbly, now some red wine I brought back from South Africa. Probably won't make it ot midnight - I usually don't.

Early doors stroll to the village pub for a couple before the live music starts, at which point we’ll be coming home with a takeaway.

Bed after 10pm news headlines...no doubt not a 10pm news tonight though - I hate that about Christmas/New Year!

Just checked and it's 10.10pm so not so bad. Headlines, dogs out for pees and then bed - hopefully will sleep through the fireworks.

Off to the village micropub in an hour, last orders is at 9 but the owner has a big house party back at his, live music the lot.
