New Year? Nah same old same old...

Their secret is a lack of ambition

I am insanely competitive. The idea of doing anything and not being bothered about improving is anathema to me.

Nope. New year and the desire is burning stronger than ever. I'm finally hitting the ball well and as soon as I can chip I'll be in a world of happiness with my glass positively overflowing. It's so close and when it comes I'll be getting that handicap down.

It's not so much no desire to change anything - there's not much I can change without devoting large chunks of my life to beating balls on the range. Time just doesn't allow me that. Plus I'm a poor practicer, I bore easily on the range.
I'm content with my game - if I never get any better I can honestly say that I've become a decent player and be happy with that.
I'd like to continue to get better, but if it happens it will be in the same way that I got to the standard I'm at now - playing golf regularly, practicing on the course if you like. When I play solo, if I hit a poor shot, I'll chuck a couple more down and play them again.

Get a bigger glass HJS - please!

I'm insanely happy with my game at the moment, it doesn't stop me wanting more though. I am however reluctant to make any major changes to my swing. Cut out the 3 putts and get up and down a couple more times around and I can knock another couple of shots off my handicap.

The day I stop believing I can get better will probably be the day I lose interest.

Same old for me, why change something I get so much enjoyment from. Practicing would bring in a new element which I know I would not enjoy. As long as I don't embarrass myself too often, like at Camberley, I am happy.
