Apparently he's using the new 916 Titleists.....shouldn't make a big difference but you never know.
He wasn't particularly good off the tee and certainly missed a few holable putts in round 1

The system is based over two years. Rory has been much better over this period. Speith has only been really good for the last 16 months or so.

In a word no. I can understand that being ranked #1 at anything is a fantastic achievement and I'm not belittling what it takes to get there. However there have been loads of golfers that have won majors and never been #1 in the world. Do you think they'd swap their title for the top ranking?

To be world number 1 means you have been consistent for a long time. To win a major you have been good for 1 week. Sometimes too much is made of the majors. One of our club competitions is older than The Masters, and that is probably true of most clubs in the British Isles, but they are not majors.

Majors for sure, but #1 is a major achievement.....Luke had been #1 for more than a Year.....seems unbelievable on his recent form.

Obviously, if either Rory or Jordan win, they will be top.
But if Jason wins and the other 2 finish outside the top 2 then Mr Day will become the newest addition to the World No.1 Club.....
