New Wedges (another post!)

I was in the market for two new wedges. I was all geared up for the Nike SV's to replace my Ping Tours. Looked at hundreds of wedges through many shops. Cleveland, Ping, Callaway, Srixon, Vokey, Wilson, Yonex, Nike, Taylor Made, you name it I had a look/swing/feel!

I believe a wedge is something that automatically feels right, you know it when you feel it and swing it. The head has to be the right shape for you.

Well that happened for me today and it saved me a fortune, I basically got both my wedges for the price of one!!!

I have since googled them and see that they get a great write up in alot of reviews.

Long winded but I opted for the MD Super Spin Cobalt in 52 and 58 degrees. Really looking forward to getting out onto the course with them, shame its under 6 inches of water!

MD seem to be doing some great lower priced clubs at the moment. A friend of mine just got some superstrong irons and loves them. He plays off 2.

Good luck with them mate, tell us how you get on.

brendy,

they sit awesome, really really awesome, and I paid less than £40 each!!!!!!

That club in cobalt with callaway on it would retail at £120 easy. True Temper shaft half cord grip by lamkin. I will post a report once I have shredded a few balatas!

madandra I know you're new here, but we don't like these people who join this forum and straight in on 1021st post advertise a number for some pro shop. At least make an effort to join in befor you start flogging your wares. :D

I have always be suspicious of these cheaper models (inferior materials in my mind set etc) but having seen the number of posts advocating these MD clubs I'm digginy my head out of the sand and pestering my pro to get a couple of test wedges for me to try

Me too
I was at AG in Foxton(nr Cambridge?) just about to hand over the credit card for two vokeys 54 and 60 at £69.99 each when i noticed the MD Superstrong at £29.99 each. Tried them on the range and I could not tell the difference. This might say more about my ability than the wedges though!!!!!
