New website

looks a good site and a very attractive golf course

seems the visitors page gives a price for everything other than a round of golf??

maybe just me scanning a page and missing it?

Course does look nice, but whether a good web site attracts visitors I don't know. If I am looking at somewhere my society is already going next year, then it is nice to see a good web page, as it whets the appetite, but I am not sure if I googled courses in Forth of Firth area that I would end up here, especially if costs aren't mentioned. This is always a sore point with web sites as it needs frequent updating.

Atticus, no, never play off mats. It's always a full course through the winter. Just preferred lies but never need them. One of the reasons I joined. Will pm you if you want a game, though.

Yeah, the visitors page doesn't show green fees on the main page. You have to click on the green fees tab.

When I'm off to visit another course I'll always look at their club webpage. Good photos always whet the appetite.

I think the new ones here help, particularly since they've obviously been taken with a low winter sun, showing the depth of the bunkers and undulations on the greens. I think they could be improved, though.

Very good!, like yourself I always do my research on a club before I go, would definitely be tempted to play after looking at that kind of web page.

Looks cracking!

2nd green looks awesome!! (checked out some photos).

Much better than most, good job from someone. Clubhouse picture gave me a bit of deja vu...maybe I visited in my dreams!!!

John, I had a wee laugh to myself when I clocked the guys wearing t-shirts. that must be computer graphics cos I can't imagine EVER playing Craigielaw in warm weather. The site is as good as the course ... excellent !!

Well spotted, Andy. That must have been one of the older summer photos!

Trust me, though. It warms up. Last summer I couldn't play in my usual polo top, it was so hot. Had to buy one of those special whicky Adidas numbers !! It's currently in hibernation, though.

Brilliant, Brilliant Brilliant!!! You lucky b*gg*r. Made me feel warm to look at the pictures and imagine myself playing there, but it's along way from North Wales.

The site has a great look - very 'clean' and not too much information on a page. An obviously professional job - gives a good impression even if there may be details missing.
As to teh place itself, just want to echo Dave.Visited a couple of nice courses round here recently - e.g. Knowle in Bristol, long-established and well-kept - but not a patch on this - enjoy, J-F!

Website looks the part and is considerably better than most efforts I have seen.

Nice to see a club actually making an effort with this new fangled internet stuff! :D

As already said, course also looks fantastic!

I know what you mean, Parmo, but if a decent website attracts a few more visitors in during the year then our members' subs are likely to stay reasonable.

Also, we, as members, can book tee times through the site which keeps the club phones free for more useful enquiries. That's a great facility.

Generally good responses. I'm liking the new layout, the clean "Apple" look, and the photos of the course are much better than before. I've seen a few duff websites which have put me off playing even great courses. Sometimes they just don't do the course justice.

Have to agree, I think a good website is an important part of any club. I would certainly be more attracted to a club with online booking facilities and such like. As the struggle to attract members becomes harder, things such as good websites provide a useful marketing tool at a fairly low cost.
